The battle for control of the galaxy expands with the release of Star Wars Empire at War: Forces of Corruption. I use Windows 8 Pro (圆4) which may be the issue but if EaW works then why won't FoC? I have tried running as admin as well as in compatibility mode and I cannot think of anything else that could cause the game to crash every time I get to the initial splash screen (before the lucasarts animation). Its fully up-to-date and I have copied across and modified some of the XML files and the game still runs fine. However, FoC won't run at all.ĮaW works fine on its own. I have a copy of Empire at War, it was patched to 1.02 at time of install and recently 1.05 with the install for FoC.
